Cyberabad police declared that doctor Shashi shot himself in the early hours of today, after allegedly firing at another doctor Uday, last evening.

The city police are in search of Shashi, the master degree holder in surgery, from the last evening, after he allegedly fired at doctor Uday.

Shashi allegedly shot Uday, when they both are sitting in a car in Himayatnagar, along with their business partner Sai, who is again a doctor.

While Uday with bullet injury got admitted to hospital, doctor Sai ran for his life. “Mr. Uday was being operated on and admitted in Intensive Care Unit. But it seems Mr. Shashi believed that Uday had died,” Rajendranagar ACP Ganga Reddy said.

Shashi who has absconded from the area, after the incident, was found dead in a farmhouse at Nakkalapally in Moinabad on city outskirts. After finding the bullet injury in his head, the police speculated that, he shot himself, for the fear of the further consequences.

A 'suicide note' purportedly written by the surgeon and found beside his body stated that, he had 'not killed' Uday. It states that doctor Sai had killed Uday using the surgeon's revolver.

The surgeon, doctor Uday and doctor Sai invested money in constructing Laurel hospital in Madhapur, but over the time, they developed the differences over the way the hospital was being managed. To settle the disputes, they held several meetings earlier and for the same, they assembled yesterday evening in a hotel in Himayathnagar, the police sources said.

They came out and sat in the car when Mr. Shashi fired one round at Mr. Uday with his licenced .32 revolver, the police said.
