Naxals release 3 TDP leaders after 10 days

In the late night yesterday, Naxals released the 3 TDP leaders, after holding them for 10 days, in their custody.   

It was known that, 10 days back, three of the tribal TDP leaders are kidnapped by the Naxals. Though in the beginning, the Naxals said that, they would not do any harm and are calling only to discuss a few issues relating to Bauxite, for unknown reasons, Naxals even kidnapped the TDP leaders.   

After the news was out, the other TDP officials got alerted and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu ordered to search the kidnapped leaders. In spite of the vigorous search, no clue was found about the leaders.

The Naxals found the bauxite mining as a major issue to regain the lost ground among the tribals. They demanded the Government, not to exploit  making their stand clear on not exploiting the bauxite in the Agency and the TDP leaders and workers to quit the party and join the agitation against bauxite mining proposal.

Reportedly, after the three leaders, TDP mandal unit president Mamidi Balayya Padal, party senior leader Vandalam Balayya and district committee member Mukkala Mahesh, were handed over to Girijan employees association leaders, a key information was found from the leaders. 

Naxals says TDP leaders to quit party

Speaking on the issue, they said, “Naxals held a Praja Court in the interior forest area in the Chitrakonda area in Odisha. They said not to associate with any political party and involve in anti-bauxite mining agitation of fellow tribals.
 
Before the release of the leaders, the victims families approached the Girijan employees association and the government for the justice. The duo assured the families a right justice 2 days back and meanwhile, Naxals released the leaders yesterday.

Finally, at the time, where the AP state is going to celebrate the stone ceremony of Amaravathi capital, this is a good sign for the TDP party, to have its leaders back.

On the other side, it should be seen, whether the three kidnapped leaders, leave the party and participate in the anti-bauxite mining agitation, as demanded by the Naxals.
