The Delhi Poll battle is rising its bar with the date nearing and with BJP announcing former IPS officer-turned-activist Kiran Bedi as the CM candidate, the political heat as increased. Taking on Bedi, Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal has challenged Kiran Bedi to come for an public debate. “Congrats 4 being nominated as BJP's CM candidate. I invite u 4 a public debate moderated by neutral person n telecast by all. Kiranji, i used to follow u on twitter. Now, u have blocked me on twitter. Kindly unblock me,” tweeted Kejriwal.
In reply to Kejriwal's tweet, Bedi wrote, “Arvind only believes in debate, I believe in delivering. Debates happen on floor of the house.” In an opinion poll, Kejriwal is leading the race for Delhi's top chair but the majority looks in favour of BJP. In the ABP News recent poll survey, 47 per cent people opined that Kejriwal is suitable candidate for the CM post while Kiran Bedi stood second with 44 per cent.
The ex-Delhi CM, Kejriwal will file his nomination today for the New Delhi constituency and BJP is also contemplating to field Kiran Bedi from the same constituency to give a tough. Delhi will vote on February 7 and the results will be out on February 10.
