Naidu's new strategy to get funds

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is doing all the efforts to get funds from the Central government for the state. Though, the union budget disappointed the ruling party, allocation of educational institutes calmed them a bit down. After trying all several strategies, Chandrababu has now laid down for a new plan.

Highlighting his credentials, Chandrababu expressed willingness to host the 39th National Games 2017 in Vijayawada. In this regards, Chandrababu had written to Union Minister of State for Sports [Independent Charge] Sarbananda Sonowal urging that Andhra Pradesh be given an opportunity to host the National Games. He also recalled the 2002 National Games, 2003 Chess World Cup, First Afro-Asian Games 2003 which were successfully held in Hyderabad when Naidu was the chief minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh.

With this, the sports infrastructure in Hyderabad grew to world class level and also players like Pullela Gopichand, Sania Mirza, Saina Nehwal, PV Sindhu and many others emerged. “Organising the National Games in Vijayawada would lead to creation of a world-class sports infrastructure at Vijayawada and other major cities of Andhra Pradesh including Visakhapatnam, Tirupati. It would also help in development of the region and improvement of social and physical infrastructure,” said Naidu in the letter.

It would be a huge advantage and big relief for the AP government, if the Central government sanctions Naidu's wish.
