Prime Minister Narendra Modi has advised all the Bharatiya Janata Party members of Parliament to get to know about Parliament ethics and follow seniors how to behave in the Lower House in orientation program. The two-day orientation camp for BJP MPs' commenced today, at a hotel in Surajkund. Modi and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh addressed the gathering.
Modi said he is also a first time member of Parliament but focus should be on work and not get involved in the blame-game of the opposition parties. Adding, Modi directed all the MPs' to spend maximum time at their respective constituencies and use the MPLAD funds wisely for the development of constituencies.
Also Modi asked each MP to prepare a blueprint of their constituency, share with respective state governments and sketch out a six-months road map of work. Last but not least, Modi who is very good in using social media, instructed the MPs' to use the social media platform smartly and get connected with people around the clock.
Out of the 282 elected MPs, BJP has 162 new faces and 18 in Rajya Sabha. Several union ministers have been assigned separate tasks to teach the new MPs'. This orientation also urged the MPs' to attend the Parliament regularly whenever organized and address the issues in the house bothering their constituencies. BJP veteran LK Advani will be the final speaker at the workshop, which will end on Sunday.
