YSR Congress party honorary president Vijayamma is likely to contest from Allagadda Assembly segment. Shoba Nagireddy who won this constituency sadly passed away in a tragic road accident just few days before the elections. The Election Commission clarified that they would conduct re-polling if Shoba wins.

YSR Congress party fear that if Jagan is sent to jail again in the disproportionate assets then it would be difficult for any member to lead the party. Moreover Vijayamma already led the party in Assembly earlier and keeping the past experience, Jagan wants to field Vijayamma from Allagadda.

However, YSR Congress party insiders are ruling out these rumors and say the party did not take any decision on Allagadda constituency. “Let the Election Commission issue notification on Allagadda constituency, we will decide our candidate,” added party sources.

While other political parties looking at YSRCP moves and are thinking to field a strong candidate if Vijayamma is announced for Allagadda segment. But if a member from Shoba family is fielded they might withdraw the election.
