NDA govt to axe UPA governors

The NDA government which will officially take over from 26th of this month is likely to axe many of the Governors' appointed to several states during the UPA regime. Congress led UPA government which came into government in 2004, removed most of the Governors' appointed by NDA government and so BJP is likely to follow the same process.

The Delhi sources say that Modi government could terminate Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan but as the bifurcation process is yet to be completed, there might be a delay in the decision. Modi is likely to look at all the possibilities before taking a decision on Narasimhan. West Bengal Governor MK Narayanan will definitely face the axe as reports claimed that he failed to control Bangladeshis entering the country. Kerala Governor Sheila Dikshit will have tougher time as BJP  want to axe her so that Sheila could be questioned for her involvement in Common Wealth Games scam and Delhi lieutenant governor Najeeb Jung could also be removed

While Governors of Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Tripura, Rajasthan and Odissa are in the verge of completing their tenure. So no decision on them added the BJP sources and they will reconsider Tamil Nadu and Bihar Governors. Sources also say that a list of 19 governors has been prepared who will be replaced in a few months' time.
