With the Municipal results out, Congress has emerged victorious in Telangana while it is Telugu Desam in Seemandhra. However, two parties which anticipated good results, could not live up to the expectations and so the panic started at their respective camps. They are Telangana Rashtra Samithi and YSR Congress party.

Both the parties banked heavily on sentiment i.e, TRS on Telangana sentiment, YSRCP on YSR sentiment and eventually people ignored sentiments, elected candidates of their choice. This is absolutely people's victory and there is no question about it.

As general elections results are four days away, TRS and YSRCP cadre were quite worried and their confidence of establishing first government in respective states is gradually decreasing. Ironically in Telangana region, TRS party settled for third position as others [related to independent] have won more seats. TRS won 313 wards while others number is at 355. Though the margin is small, this could be highly influential in main elections.  On the other hand, YSRCP was confined to only Rayalaseema region and it did exceedingly well in Kadapa. However YSRCP faced a jolt as in Raidurgam and Proddatur, TDP emerged as winner.

The absence of grass root cadre which could not take both the parties deep into the people is the only reason for this. Anyway, will this results repeat in the mains also is something going to be very interesting. Friday will decide the fate of all parties.
