Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his family were shocked and unhappy with Daljeet Singh Kohli joining Bharatiya Janata Party yesterday. Manmohan's nephew, Manbir Singh spoke to the media this morning and expressed shock over Daljeet's decision.

“We were completely shocked with his [Daljeet] decision. But his personal decision will be respected and we are on Manmohan side. The rest of the family will support  Congress candidate Amarinder Singh who is contesting from Amritsar,” added Manbir.

Daljeet Singh Kohli, step-brother of Manmohan Singh joined BJP yesterday in the presence of Narendra Modi.
