Supreme Court shocks BCCI

The Supreme Court has ordered the Board of Control for Cricket in India [BCCI] to suspend teams Rajasthan Royals [RR] and Chennai Super Kings [CSK] from the Indian Premiere League [IPL] till the spot-fixing probe is done. The Apex court also recommended former Indian batsman Sunil Gavaskar to step in the shoes of N Srinivasan who is the president of BCCI.

Responding to the Supreme's suggestion, BCCI in its hearing today said that Srinivasan will step aside from the post but only for time bound till the probe gets finished. BCCI also requested to the court not ruin Srinivasan's chances of leading the International Cricket Council [ICC] who is set to take charge this July.

Replying to the BCCI's request, Supreme court said that it will think hard for the benefit of cricket and then pass the order.

Suspending Chennai Super Kings would be a huge set back for N Srinivasan and it will bring more troubles for him.
