The most awaited Jan Lokpal Bill of Aam Aadmi Party government will be placed in the Delhi Assembly by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today. Declining the opinions of Law Ministry and Lieutenant Goverrnor Najeeb Jung, Kejriwal has decided to go ahead with his plans of tabling Jan Lokpal. Kejriwal has a list of bills that were passed by the previous Delhi Government which has not taken the permission of Central government and so he is making all efforts to pass the bill in Assembly at any cost.
Only two days were given for the debate on Jan Lokpal bill and the oppositions BJP, Congress are criticizing the AAP government over the time allotment. After the Jan Lokpal Bill, Swaraj Bill is likely to be introduced in the current session of the assembly. Like the Parliament sessions, Delhi Assembly will also witness a stormy atmosphere.
