The Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Bill i.e, Telangana Bill may not be tabled in Rajya Sabha today as the Speaker of Upper House Hameed Ansari has asked the Law department its opinion on placing it. After going through the bill thoroughly the Law department has suggested that it has many financial aspects and can't be tabled in Rajya Sabha first. So the bill was again sent to President of India and as the per the Home Ministry sources, the Center has asked President's permission for tabling in Lok Sabha instead.
Telangana bill was cleared by President Pranab yesterday and Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde was supposed to introduce the T-Bill today at 12:30 PM. Speaker of the Upper House also received the copy of the bill and then things changed randomly last night. Currently the government is dilemma over the dates to finalize for the introduction of T-bill in Lok Sabha. This will make Congress fall in more troubles as MPs who are against the bifurcation are agitating over the past one week.
Meanwhile today afternoon at 1:15 PM Parliament Affairs Committee will hold a meeting and Speaker Meira Kumar will chair it. All eyes are on this meeting as the committee is likely to decide the date of introduction of Telangana Bill in Lok Sabha.
