Traffic restrictions are announced by the authorities during the night of December 31 to control untoward incidents.  They warned vehicle drivers from driving consuming liquor.

Tank Bund, Necklace road and all flyovers in Hyderabad will be closed after 10.00 pm December 31 till 2.00 am on January 1. The traffic will be diverted during that time.

The Hyderabad Ring Road will be closed between 11.00 pm on December 31 till 5.00 am on January 1 and traffic will be diverted during the specified time.  Only the flight ticket holders will be allowed go by the Ring Road.

Similarly at Visakhapatnam, Asilmet flyover and beach road will be closed on December 31 night.
