Plan 'B' of the Center on Telangana

Sonia Gandhi is impatient over the delay in the Telangana Bill as the sources reveal. The AICC President Sonia Gandhi is reported to have inquired the Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde about the situation.  She is said to have told Shinde that if the debate on the Telangana Bill continues and completed within the stipulated time it is ok but otherwise if the disruptions continue and the debate is not started, alternative measures should be taken up.

As the report on the situation in AP is asked from the Governor of the State, The Governor Narasimhan is said to have told that the situation in the state is normal but it is not so in the Assembly.

The Center is appraising the alternative measures to pass the Telangana Bill in the Parliament.  The Government is thinking whether to wait till January 23 or not.  It is also thinking in terms of going for plan ‘B’ if the Telangana Bill is dodged in the Assembly with disruptions.  The idea that it is of no use waiting till January 23 when the Bill is not attended in the Assembly is also seriously considered by the Center.
