Anna Hazare in indefinite hunger strike demanding a strong Lokpal bill to be passed in the Parliament changed his stand by softening it. He says that let the Lokpal currently made by the Government be passed in the Parliament. Afterwards it can be amended to bring it at par with the Janlokpal made earlier.
The 76 year old Anna Hazare lost 3.5 kg of weight and his BP is on higher side during his hunger strike.
He said, “Time has come to move (ahead) with the present draft of Lokpal Bill and get it passed. Improvements can be made later through amendments once it becomes a Constitutional reality.”
The Lokpal Bill was introduced in Rajyasabha on Friday but due to the disruptions in the house by the Members it did not move further.
The former Army Chief General V.K.Singh advised Anna Hazare on Friday preparing him to soften his stand by telling that if a person is naked he can first accept under garments and later a three piece suit will follow.
