The Delhi High Court directed the Kadapa MP and YSRCP President YS Jagan to go to the Speaker of the Parliament to speak to her personally.
As the Delhi High Court was moved by YS Jagan and two other MPs Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy and SPY Reddy challenging the rejection of their resignation by the Speaker of the Parliament Meira Kumar, the Justice V.K.Jain suggested that Jagan should speak to the speaker and explain the veracity and voluntary nature of their resignations for which the petitioners agreed to do so.
The resignations were submitted by them in the month of August before the decision for bifurcation was announced by CWC. Additional Solicitor General Rajeev Mehra expressed his opinion that the Court do not have the jurisdiction to decide on the decision of the Speaker of the Parliament. He said that the resignations of MPs will be rejected when they are not found voluntary in nature. The fact they are rejected shows that they are not found worthy of accepting by the Speaker.
But the court has adjourned hearing of the arguments to December 17th to decide whether the petitions are maintainable.
