Telugu Desam Party President Chandra Babu Naidu started an indefinite hunger strike at Delhi on Monday to get national recognition to the demands of the Seemandhra people. The hunger strike reached second day today.
He first wanted to start from Jantar Mantar in Delhi but permission was not given by the police. Then Chandra Babu started from AP Bhawan.
About 1000 supporters of Chandra Babu’s hunger strike went to Delhi on Monday. Today Chandra Babu said that he need not take permission from a lady from Italy to protest. National leaders visited Chandra Babu and expressed their solidarity.
Today the Resident Commissioner issued notice to Chandra Babu Naidu to vacate AP Bhawan. On this Chandra Babu expresses his shock that Jagan is given permission in the jail to do go on hunger strike but Congress on the other hand wants a hunger strike for the injustice meted by the Seemandhras is not allowed at AP Bhawan.
The Resident Commissioner stated in his notice that a permission for hunger strike is not given and more over security issues are preventing him from allowing Chandra Babu Naidu to continue his hunger strike in the premises of AP Bhawan.
