Left Toe of Srinivasa Disfigures

It is the general belief that God is there to take care of us.  But the devotees particularly Hindus see God in the idols they worship because of which it is but natural to them to feel very bad when something happens to the idol.  They feel as if something happened to their beloved.

Devotees believe that the imprints of Venakateswara Swamy’s feet on the Narayanagiri are the ones that were made when God stepped on the hills from heavens.   Evidently when a coconut was broken on them, left toe of the imprints were disfigured that made the devotees take it to heart and express grief.

As in the typical method of devotion a devotees sees God in the idol once He is invoked and also a pooja is done in heart although rituals are observed and followed physically. Because of it, devotees strongly objected for the careless behavior of the management.  It is considered as the failure on the part of the TTD to safe guard such a valuable evidence of God's presence.

No one particularly knows when it happened but on knowing about it, JEO of TTD Srinivasa Raju and CVSO Ashok Kumar inspected it and assured all that security measures will be taken up to see that such type of incident will not take place.  They ruled out anti social activity that might have caused it.  They are going to decide whether a coconut can be allowed to be broken there or not in future.

Attempts in the meanwhile are being made to place the toe where it is supposed to be.
