India is proud because she is the first woman to take a singles medal at the Badminton World Championships. This medal has eluded India’s female badminton players for a long time.

Sindhu will come up against Indian Badminton's original poster girl Saina on the second day of the inaugural IBL. The match is scheduled for this Thursday in Delhi. It is the day Awadhe Warriors fight it out with Hyderabad Hotshots.

Speaking on the upcoming game, Sindhu, who has been awarded Rs 15 lakh from the Badminton Association of India (BAI) in recognition of her medal, said that she is ready to play against Saina and will try to give her best performance.
