Venkateswara Swamy the wealthiest deity seated on the seven hills of Tirumala to grace the devotees is going to take a pageantry procession on the occasion of annual Brahmotsavams on a new golden chariot this time.  

The work is started by the Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam, Tirupati to make the chariot ready by September 15, 2013 so that it can be used in the Brahmotsavams.  

Many devotees have been complaining for long that the existing golden chariot became old, faded and lost its charm.  It made TTD to take a decision to get a new one made.  TTD decided to alter the old silver coated wooden chariot with a gold coat on it.  For this purpose TTD is first getting the wooden work done.  The gold coating work will take place at TTD Museum.  

TTD is making all efforts to make the new golden chariot ready by the time of Brahmotsavams so that many devotees can have a chance to see it, with devotion filled ecstasy watching their beloved God taking a grandeur procession on a golden chariot.
