Mopidevi Venkata Ramana who was charged in the case of YS Jagan's disproportionate assets case and spending in Chanchalguda jail was admitted by the jail authorities in Osmania Hospital as he was suffering from chest pain.  After getting first aid when Mopidevi complained of chest pain in the Jail, the authorities shifted him to Osmania Hospital.

The family members of Mopidevi rushed to the hospital urged the authorities to shift to Care Hospital to get a better treatment.  

Mopidevi was charged for misusing his power as Infrastructure and Ports Minister in YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s Government.   He allotted 15000 acres of land to VANPIC at Visakhapatnam who in turn made a fortune by selling and leasing the land and invested in the companies of YS Jagan as a return gift.
