Tirupati station in International standards

Tirupati Railway Station is always busy with pilgrims visiting the temple city.  The station is due for additions and alterations to meet the rush.

Kotla Suryaprakasha Reddy, Deputy Union Minister for Railways announced today that a fund of Rs.60 crores is allocated for the construction of South gate of the Railway Station.   The Minister said that the station will be upgraded to International standards.

Although Railways get a big chunk of revenue from South Central Railways, as our people claim, its true share of spending on the comforts of the travelers and expansions and infrastructural modifications are not taken up by the Railway authorities.  As Tirupati is the pilgrim place with more number of visitors than any naturally gets good revenue for Railways.  As such, it is justifiable to spend on it for the purpose of increasing travelers’ comfort and smooth running of the Railway Station.
