Rajiv Gandhi paid homage

The Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC President Botsa Satyanaryana paid homage to Rajiv Gandhi after garlanding the statue of Rajiv Gandhi at Somajiguda that was attended by Ministers of the State and Congress party leaders at Hyderabad.  Rajiv Gandhi was remembered at Gandhi Bawan by garlanding the photo of Rajiv Gandhi there by the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, Botsa Satyanarayana and Deputy Chief Minister Damodara Raja Narasimha.  

Rajiv Gandhi who was the sixth Prime Minister of India to serve India during the period from 1984 to 1991 was killed in the suicide bomb attack in Sriperumbuduru on 21st May 1991.  Today is his 22nd death anniversary.

He was paid homage at "Veer Bhoomi" at Delhi by Rajiv Gandhi’s wife and AICC President Sonia Gandhi accompanied by her son and AICC Vice-president Rahul Gandhi, her daughter Priyanka Gandhi and son in law Robert Vadra.

President Pranab Mukherjee, Vice President Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid, Defense Minister A.K.Antony and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamalanath paid tributes to Rajiv Gandhi whose full name was Rajiv Ratna Gandhi.
