Intelligence agencies are trying all they can humanly possible to trace the working and behind the screen perpetrators behind the twin blasts that killed over 20 people on Feb 21. They have already started working on tracking the phone calls made from the area of the blast before and after the incident. Over 42,000 call data records in the city were tracked and there were a few suspicious calls made to Dubai and the Indo-Nepal border.
It was learnt that these sim cards which were active only hours before and after the incident, were purchased in Bihar. They also traced that a few of these sim cards were active a few days before the blast in Hyderabad but immediately on the day after the blast, they mysteriously remained silent.
The mastermind behind the blasts who is behind the screen could have contacted the operational head in Hyderabad before the blasts. Four of the terror suspects of the Indian Mujahideen outfit, Yasin Bhatkal, Asadullah Akhtar alias Tabrez from Azamgarh in UP, Tahseen Shaikh from Samastipur in Bihar, and Waqas could be the head of the operation and they could have hired newer workers for the actual job.
It is learned that Bhaktal in Hyderabad was in contact with the Muzaffar, the hawala operator in Dubai who would convey messages to his counterpart in India. With the cross country ramifications and complexity, the NIA should take over the case for a detailed investigation and put together all the pieces of evidence to know the links.
