North America Telugu Association (NATA), which has been one of the pioneering associations in America that's bringing all Telugus together, has now geared up to focus more on social welfare and cultural awareness not just overseas but even in Andhra Pradesh.
Elucidating the programmes that NATA is going to take up, the association's president Sanjeeva Reddy has said that all arrangements are in full swing for organizing social welfare activities and some cultural events this December. Also, he said that road map has been ready for providing free education to meritorious and setting up medical camps for the aged and needy.
It has to be mentioned here that NATA is all set to conduct the annual celebrations in July next year. NATA members have said that the main aim of this association is to bring all Telugus on to one platform to extend the help to the needy in the society.
Already there are many institutions by Telugus in North America and people are apparently confused whether there was some sort of competition between these associations. Many NRIs were of the opinion that all associations should come together and merge into one giant group so that there would be no split if any. Do these associations work towards this? It's a million dollar question.
