This time for a change on Sunday (Feb 17), Vizag youth celebrated the 60th Birthday of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi Supremo K Chandrashekar Rao in a pompous way. On the other hand, in the Telangana parts it was on a low key node. The Supremo himself urged his followers to avoid any celebrations on that day as customary, in honor to scores of youth who committed suicide demanding separate state.
The youth in Visakhapatnam were undeterred and celebrated his birthday. They had lit candles and even cut a cake in front of his photo. They shared the cake with all present, at the junction after cutting the cake. Later they shouted slogans wishing the T leader.
But all seems not well with the celebrations, the unified state activists also urged the TRS supremo to usher state without bifurcation. This was just next to impossible as the leader gained popularity of this movement and their urges are to go unheeded.
Critics also remarked that this birthday event could be precedent to many more from the other sides too. Birthdays of Seemandhra leaders like Lagadapati Rajagopal might be celebrated and the pro-T activists might even urge their demand as well. (Wishesh AarKay)
