MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi's advocates have today submitted two sureties of Rs.25,000 each in Nirmal Court as the court granted conditional bail of Owaisi who has been under judicial custody for allegedly making provocative statements in Nirmal last year. The court, although granted bail, is yet to give bail order as Owaisi didn't surrender his passport. The court even told that bail would be given only if he submits Passport besides two sureties.
It may be recalled that Akbaruddin Owaisi, the brother of Akbaruddin Owaisi, was arrested in the first week of January this year by Nirmal police in connection with the alleged seditious statements he made. After Akbaruddin was taken into the custody, another case was filed against him by Medak police over derogatory statements he made in 2005 against an IAS officer. Sangareddy court, which tried that case granted bail but Owaisi was still under judicial custody as he was an accused in Nirmal speech case too for which he didn't get the bail. Now that he got the bail, he's supposed to surrender his passport to get released from judicial custody.
