Signals are quite clear from the Congress leaders of the Telangana region of a possible aliening with TRS and other pro-T parties to fight for state formation. The leaders who met at Manda Jaganatham's residence on Friday (January 25) discussed about the future course of action to be taken post January 28, when the high command was to announce its decision on Telangana.
Post the meet Congress MP Gutta Sukhender Reddy clarified that the T leaders would consider options after the Congress announcement about the action plan of the party. Another MP Vivek firmly said that if Congress fails to deliver the desired T state then the leaders would embark on mass resignation while taking up serious protests to take the struggle to the next stage.
However on the other side too the issue seems to be hotting up with wide protests by students associations demanding elected leaders to resign to press in the demands for an unified state.
On the other hand, Congress high command seemed to be engulfed in the T fire with both the sides leaders demanding two different solutions to the same problem. Yesterday lengthy mini core committee meetings were held between Ghulam Nabi Azad, Vayalar Ravi, Susheel Kumar Shinde and Dig Vijay Singh. While today there is going to be a full size core committee meeting to find an amicable solution on the impending issue. (Wishesh AarKay)
