Jagan's bail plea reveals a hidden secret?

The incarcerated YSR Congress leader Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had been for quite a long time in the custody, to be questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigations. In spite of repeated bail pleas the Kadapa MP seems to get no respite. Earlier the Supreme Court had firmly said that his plea could not be entertained till a firm charge sheet was framed by the CBI.

However on Tuesday (January 22), the counsel to the leader had again approached the High Court in this regards. The court heard the brief arguments of both sides and questioned the CBI as to how long it will take to file the charge sheet. For which the CBI counsel was clueless and stated that in disproportionate cases the filing date could not be specified.

It is here, a new angle to the case emerged. As per the CBI in spite of repeated requests the state government was not giving certain details requested by the agency. Now the media that reads between the lines had many doubts on this attitude of the government, only if it was a deliberate issue.

The first doubt that arises for the common man, is the government trying to shield someone or is it just delaying to confine the young leader at Chenchaguda for some more time. In either case it rings alarm bells for the ruling party, as only the information could be delayed temporarily, but ultimately at some point has to comply with the agency's request.

Given the arguments, 'was Jagan's arrest a vindictive action,' as the YSRCP was crying aloud unheard, since the beginning. Anyways the court will decide on Thursday, as it had been adjourned to January 24. Will he be out or not? (Wishesh AarKay)
