On Thursday, he walked into the premises of a court in Palladam in the nearby Tirupur district and doused himself with kerosene. He started shouting slogans against the increasing rape incidents in the nation and set himself ablaze.
The onlookers and police rushed to the burning man and managed to douse the fire. Initially they took him to a government hospital nearby for first aid treatment. Later they admitted him in the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital. He seems to be responding, as per sources. (Wishesh AarKay)
