Congress legislator and former minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy met PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana. Our sources said Botsa Satyanarayana was trying to pacify Peddireddy who took an appointment of speaker today for tendering his resignation for the legislative assembly. It may be recalled that Peddireddy made a Chanakya Shapadam (a conditional statement) that he would tender resignation to his post as an MLA in case the high command doesn't change Kiran Kumar Reddy as the chief minister of the state.
Notably, yesterday Peddireddy maintained the same statement and stressed that the pillars of the Congress party came down. Since Peddireddy is a senior Congress leader, his quit might effect the party, said observers. One has to wait and watch whether Congress high command would bend to the demands of Peddireddy and others or ignore it.
