The union railway minister Pawan Kumar Bansal has thronged Tirumala temple today and sought blessings of Lord Balaji in the early hours. After having darshan, he spoke to the media. He has said that he would develop Tirupati railway station. Also, he said lakhs of devotees keep visiting Tirupati daily and therefore railways would take special steps to improve the amenities at the station.

It may be noted that several political leaders reportedly assured such promises many times but to no avail. Tirupati railway station has been still the same. Observers said that minister should stick to his promise and make Tirupati railway station the biggest one with world class amenities in the country with many more tracks and platforms. Not just people from across the country, but from across the globe visit Tirupati.
