Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) chairman Prof Kodandaram has tendered unconditional apologies to minister Geeta Reddy publicly for the alleged comments he made on the leader in connection with the Telangana movement. Earlier, Kodandaram has said that a vernacular newspaper misinterpreted his statements and stressed that he would take legal action against that newspaper. As said earlier that he would tender apology, he publicly said he was sorry.
To make a point, Prof Kodandaram has said that it was due to the misinterpretation of a newspaper, he and dalit associations were saddened. He said he didn't say any word against Geeta Reddy. Also, earlier he said TJAC follows the principles of dalit leader Ambedkar who believed in small states for economic development. Anyway, Kodandaram said since his alleged words as published by the newspaper had hurt Geeta Reddy and dalit associations. Therefore, he said he was tendering apologies before the media.
