TDP leader K Yerran Naidu died in a fatal road accident, which took place in the wee hours today at Ranstalam of Srikakulam. The mishap took place when the car in which he was travelling collided with a speeding oil tanker. While others in the car sustained major injuries, including the driver, Yerran Naidu was immediately rushed to hospital but was declared brought dead. He was survived by a son and a daughter.
Post mortem was conducted on Yerran Naidu at RIMS hospital. His dead body would be kept at his residence in Srikakulam for public to pay last respects. On learning this news, TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu was astonished. Babu, who is in padayatra in Mahabubnagar district, is likely to reach Srikakulam by road. Yerran Naidu was born on 23 February 1957. He was elected to Lok Sabha four times (11th, 12th, 13th and 14th Lok Sabha).
