TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu who has resumed his padayatra in Mahabunagar district had been touring extensively in the district meeting masses. Wherever he went, he received grand welcome. Looking at the condition of the homeless, Chandrababu has promised that he would construct pakka houses for the homeless with an estimated cost of one lakh rupees each.
Addressing the public in Chintarevulapalli, Babu said that he came into the public only to know the problems of the poor and give them confidence. When the locals brought to the notice about the drinking water blues in the village, Chandrababu has said that he would work towards solving the drinking water problems through NTR sujala scheme. Also, he promised toilets to every home. Further, Chandrababu promised that belt shops would be banned in case TDP comes to power.
It may be noted Indira Gandhi, during her regime, promised and sanctioned houses to several poor persons in Andhra Pradesh. This was one of the main reasons why she's still remembered by the masses in the state despite the negative remarks such as emergency. On the other hand, NTR is the real hero to scores of women given that he banned liquor during his regime. The observers opined that Chandrababu seemed to have carried meritorious promises of all legendary leaders and promised the same to the public.
