TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu sustained minor injuries when the temporary stage on which he was standing caved in last night at Gadwal. Although Babu immediately managed to stand up and move out of the diaz on his own, he complained of low back pain following which a physiotherapist examined him. Later, a team of doctors from Hyderabad besides his wife Bhuvaneshwari and son Lokesh rushed to Gadwal to meet Chandrababu.

When Babu was addressing the public in Gadwal as a part of his Vastunna Meekosam padayatra, this mishap occurred. The party leader Ravula Chandrashekar Reddy has said that Babu developed minor injuries on his back and therefore doctors adviced him three days bed rest. So, Babu is most unlikely to resume his padayatra at least for the next two days.
