Director Puri Jagannadh is apparently in a thought to plunge into politics. The sources said that Puri might get a Lok Sabha ticket from YSRC from Anakapalli constituency. It is known that his brother Ganesh is now working for YSRC after leaving TDP. Also, rumours are rife that Puri Jagannadh's wife might get an MLA ticket. Puri's recent release Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu (CMGR) became a big hit amidst so many protests. The director, who showed his concern for the society with CMGR, is now reportedly all set to join the active politics.

In his latest film, the character of dhoti-clad politician reminds us of the late chief minister YS Rajashekara Reddy. And YSRC is a party set up by YRS's son in the name of his father. So, it looks like Puri's respect from YSRC was shown in his film as a character although Puri said that his characters were not based on any politicians. Anyway, one has to wait for some more time to know whether Puri would join politics or now.
