Putting an end to speculations, confusions and debates, YSRC honorary president YS Vijayalakshmi has announced that her daughter Sharmila is going to take out padayatra from October 18.  Vijayamma has also said that the golden period of YSR would again come and to instill confidence among the public, Sharmila would take out padayatra. Addressing the media at the party office, Vijayamma has said that Sharmila would take forward YSR's Praja Prasthanam (the name of the padayatra of YSR).

Vijayamma has even mentioned that Sharmila came forward to stage this yatra since Congress and TDP allegedly kept her son Jaganmohan Reddy behind the bars. This padayatra would be kick started on 18th from Idupulapaya in YSR district and would culminate at Ichchapuram. She's going to tour 3000 kilometres by foot.
