Bidding Adieu to Lord Ganesha

It is time to allow the Lord Ganapati to return to his heavenly abode. After the ten day ritual coming to an end the idols of the Lord were taken out for immersion in the Tank Bund. This year the state capital looked even more glamorous with the various decorations taken up by the government over the proposed International Bio-diversity Summit scheduled from Monday. Today has been a thorough holiday for the city with the various idols getting ready to be immersed as a part of the ritual, in fact this is the last part of the festival, a sad part too.

Lord Ganesha is going back home after sumptuously receiving our worships for the last ten days since September 19. Bidding him adieu virtually means to his idols, but he shall always be with us and help us finish all good work with out any hindrance. Om Ganeshaya Namaha!

Most of the vantage points in the city had erected temporary podiums which will act as inquiry counters to provide assistance. All police shelters are dumped with water sachets bags to supply free water for devotees. Even many huge temporary kitchens are erected, to serve the tired devotees. All this is for the easy flow of the processions. Then the whole roads are infected with numerous security personnel to foresee that the celebrations are underway smoothly.
