Happy Birthday PM Sir: Morning Wishesh

Hi!           Hello!            Adab!

Manmohan1It's a bright morning, a little too warm at Hyderabad. An important event next week is the First International Biodiversity Summit scheduled in the city on October 1 (Monday). The whole city is sprucing up for the summit. Almost all the lead roads are being painted and the fly-overs getting a new artistic look. Nearly 8000 visitors from 193 countries are going to visit the summit and so the city gets ready to welcome them. Approximately three weeks tenure summit shall end on October 19. So with that lets breeze across the latest morning tit bits that have arrived from various sources. Before going forward, let's all join and wish our ardent and beloved Prime Minister Dr Singh, 'A Happy Birthday.' Sir Wishesh prays for your 'successful long life,' since in your 'vision' lies our 'destiny.'

Manmohan2Thought for the day: Nathaniel Hawthorne an American novelist and short story writer:
 “Happiness is a butterfly,
which when pursued,
is always just beyond your grasp,
but which,
if you will sit down quietly,
may alight upon you.”

Manmohan3Days Specialty: For India it is a special day as the  'father of reforms' our Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh was born on this day in 1932. Dr Singh known for his integrity and sincerity had never been questioned of involvement in allegations. But the only issue that bothered the oppositions was his silence to what was happening around. Yet the financial whiz was a pioneer in vision for reforms. Dr Singh was the first to set the reforms-pendulum oscillating in 90's under the aegis of the then Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao. Much was expected of him as he assumed the PMO, but the first eight years were not upto his mark. Only recently his hard stick formula was unleashed and instant gains, with soaring sensex was visible. The wizard has not lost his magical touch, say financial observers.

Manmohan4Celebrity news: For those of you who enjoy romantic films now, the doyen of such melodramatic romance tales was a hero in Bollywood. And he is none other than 'the guide' of love guru, Dev Anand (1923-2011). He was an actor, writer, director and producer. He is remembered on this day for his towering versatility. He co-founded Navketan Films in 1949 with his elder brother Chetan Anand, which was a wonderful launch pad to many prominent heroines of yesteryear. In his 65 year-career he acted in 114 Hindi films and 2 English films. Wishesh remembers the doyen on his birthday today, for being the tough minded optimist of our times.

Manmohan5History Speaks: Well on this day in 1910 the British Government had exiled an Indian Journo Swadeshabhimani Ramakrishna Pillai, for  publishing criticism against the  government of Travancore. He was a writer, journalist, Newspaper editor, and political activist  in the erstwhile princely state of Travancore.

Pilgrims have been soaring on the hills, nearly  8 compartments are waiting for the darshan of the lord that shall take a minimum five hours. The celebrations for the day include, Chakra Snanam, the divine bath that has been performed amidst pompous gatherings in the early hours of the day. The Lord of the billions and his consorts were taken out to the temple tank were the priests performed the special bathing pujas to the deities. Today being the last day of the celebrations the retreat of Brahmotsavams shall commence at 7pm with the Dwajavarohanam.

Manmohan7Hina Rabbani romantic tale emerges: The most charismatic leader of the modern times is of course our Pakistan Minister for external affairs Hina Rabbani Khar, who is in fact an ambassador for modern Pak. The mother of two would like to settle in Switzerland with an eleven years younger than her lover. And the 24-years old is also from an elite family. He is the PPP leader Bilawal Bhutto say online media sources.
