Telugu Desam Party today organised a press meet and lashed out on the Congress for not doing justice to the farmers. Senior Leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao along with Peddi Reddy addressed a meet at the NTR Trust Bhavan in the capital. Speaking on the occasions the leaders said that the government had totally failed to stall the Bhabli dam just to safeguard one MP, and that is bad. They also urged the Prime Minister to talk to the Chief Ministers of the two states namely Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra, before 18 of this month to amicably settle the issue.
Further on the Telangana issue the leaders expressed that the party Chief N Chandrababu Naidu shall address the party senior leaders on the issue from 10 September and further to that a decision in this regards will be taken.
About the speculations of Lokesh taking over the reins of the party, the leaders confirmed that such a rumor had no basis and the party had no idea for change in guard.
