Two students from Coimbatore, who were originally from Andhra Pradesh embark on a cycle yatra to spread the awareness of the agriculture sector. The two emphasise that the educated must take up agriculture to bring about a change in the segment. Only major changes and huge profits in agriculture are possible only by the educated taking up this as a full time activity. The two students Vasanth Veluswamy and Vijaya sekhar, who finished their MCA and Engineering, respectively have embarked on this mission from Coimbatore. They had today reached their home town Ongole. Inspite of generations away from the native village they spoke in chaste Telugu say sources.
The duo in addition to encouraging the agriculture sector, are also interacting with Telugu people. They say that it is their idea of service to making and the language as well. They have till day covered from their home town to their native town and plan to travel 10,000 kms across the nation with an objective to encourage farming.
In the process they had met many farmers and people and discussed about the importance of agriculture. They have also shot nearly 300 documentaries enroute on the various issue of the sector, said the duo to the reporters. (With inputs from internet-AW AarKay)
