The last rites of Suman, who passed away on Thursday midnight, were conducted on Friday evening at Ramoji Film City.  Suman's son Sujay has hit the funeral pyre of his father.  Several VIPs were present when Suman was taken out on last journey. It may be noted that Suman was suffering from prolonged illness for quite sometime.  While several leaders including chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy met Ramoji Rao and extended his solidarity with him, BJP senior leader Venakaiah Naidu has expressed his solidarity with the family of Ramoji Rao.

He has hailed that Suman showed exemplary work in set up and expansion of Eenadu Television ETV.  He said that Suman maintained values and ethics in the television industry.  Even Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah and Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi paid condolences to Suman.
