Hectic day ahead with Kind Nag celebrating his birthday and today we celebrate the Telugu language day and nationally the sports day. This is your own exclusive updates for the session from Wishesh. Celebrity Corner: Tollywood's most craziest hero 'King Nagarjuna' celebrates his birthday which is a festival for his million global fans. The heart throb of the youth is the most sought after star by the Gen Next for his versatility and style. Nagarjuna is also the esteems of benevolence and nobility, say his associates. Wishesh takes this opportunity to wish 'King Nagarjuna', Many Many Happy Returns of the day. Wishesh also hopes the star scales untrodden peaks in the future. We also wish success for his forthcoming films 'Shirdi Sai Katha' and  'Damarukam.'

Days Specialty: Today is Telugu Language Day, being the  birth anniversary of Telugu language Scientist Gidugu Ramamurthy Pantulu. The government normally conducts various cultural events on this day. However with power crisis is on ion both the ways things might be slightly different today. Wishesh wishes one and all a happy Telugu Language Day. We also wish that by our unity we achieve greater heights for a better tomorrow, no matter where we are.

Today is also celebrated nationwide as the 'National Sports day.' This is a tribute to the hockey wizard, Major Dhyan Chand, who was born on this day in 1905. The day is celebrated at the Rashtrapati Bhavan with many sportsmen honored with awards like Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, Arjuna Award, Dronacharya Award and the coveted Dhyan Chand Award which is India’s highest award for Lifetime Achievement in sports, is also awarded by the President today, annually.  Wishesh wishes the nation a happy 'National Sports day.' Wishesh congratulates all the awardees and salutes the stalwarts.

History Speaks: In 1758 on this day, the first American Indian Reservation was established at Indian Mills, New Jersey.

Festival time: Wishesh wishes the nation a Happy Onam, as our Kerala friends  celebrate Onam, Today. Onam is no longer regional as our Malayalee friends are there everywhere, it becomes almost a national one. The next in the series is the Ganesh Chathurthi on September 19. Paper Ganesha is going viral and it is good for the environment too. Tirupati: Devotees rush normal. Sources say that nearly 8 compartments were filled with devotees to have a glimpse of the Lord. Ordinary darshan shall take nearly 5 hours for the devotees in queue. For stats on Tuesday 65,358 devotees visited the shrine.

TTDs new board nominated by the central government shall take their oaths at the special swearing ceremony tonight at Tirupati. The 14-member TTD board comprises Bapiraju (chairman), Nagaram MLA Pamula Rajeshwari Devi, Uppal MLA, Mr Raji Reddy, Mangalagiri MLA K. Kamala, Mr L.R. Shiva Prasad, Mr N. Kanayya, Mr Raghunath Viswanath Rao Deshpande, Mr Ch. Laxman Rao, Mr Repala Srinivas, Mr Chittori Ravindra and Mr G.V. Srinath Reddy. Apart from Mr Bapiraju and Ms  Rajeshwari all others were new faces on the committee. Nine will be taking oaths today and the rest in a couple of days, says the official communique.

Entertainment: Onam delight is multiplied with a block buster on the heels from the veteran Mohan Lal, Run Baby Run. Mohan Lal is releasing his latest film across the globe today and that adds to the celebrations. Hyderabad: No hike in pension for the handicapped, the present Rs 500 per month shall remain for sometime from now and the urged Rs 1500, is not possible, says the state Government. V.Sunitha Laxma Reddy, Hon'ble Minister for WD & CD made this statement in Hyderabad and said that the state government is offering pension to nearly 8.6 lakhs recipients of which only 51,000 people are reimbursed by the center and the rest is borne by that state. The minister also ascertained that the government will go all out in empowering the disabled, by equipping them with skills, to etch out a living.

National: Government amends the child labor bill to enhance its parameters and its reach. The earlier bill slated in 1986 stated that children below 14 years should not be employed in dangerous work zones. But the amendment made yesterday states that children below 14 years should not be employed at all in any sector. The amendment is sure to give the foreseen benefits to child rights in general.

Defense joy: India inks a pact with the Soviet Russia over the manufacturing of long range Smerch rockets. This will strengthen the Indian armory by a rockey that could launch a missile to a distance of 80km range.
