Another separatist group today announced that the separate Rayalaseema state is the need of the hour. Founder president of Rayalaseema Parirakshana Samithi, Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy on Sunday demanded that formation of Rayalaseema State was the need of the hour. He said the people from Rayalaseema have sacrificed their lives to make what Hyderabad and the rest of Andhra Pradesh is in today's context. He added that it was not possible for them to further sacrifice their selves. The leader was speaking at a private function hall in Hyderabad which was attended by many locals who had settled in the city from Rayalaseema.

The regional outfit demanded a separate Rayalaseema state carved out of the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. The leader also said that many threatening calls had come for holding the meeting in Hyderabad, but they dared. The association planned a massive march across the Rayalaseema soon covering 800 km, in forty days. During the march they plan to brief the need for a separate Rayalaseema state.
