As many as 22 Maoists were killed in three separate encounters between Maoists and police in Chattisgarh today. At least six CRPF jawans were said to have injured in the shoot out. The injured cops were rushed to Rampur hospital. The sources have said that the encounter took place when discussions were going on between Maoists and villagers. The sources have also said that one Maoist is in the custody of the police. The police have recovered as many as 303 rifles and four guns from the spot. '
The first shoot out took place at Station Basaguda forest range in Bijapur district wherein 18 Moaists fell to ground and three injured. The second encounter was at Abuzmadh in Narayanapur district where two Maoists were killed. In third encounter, which took place at Deberkonda of Sukumar district, two Moaists were killed and police arrested four Maoists.
