Jagan case: Judicial custody extended till July 4

Jaganmohan Reddy, the prime accused in illegal assets case, is going to stay at Chanchalguda jail till July 4 as the CBI Court, which is trying the case, has extended the judicial custody for another nine days.  It may be recalled that Jaganmohan Reddy was first produced before the court on May 28 by CBI sleuths, who arrested him on May 27. The court then gave 14 days judicial custody to Jagan, which ended on June 11. And on June 11, the court further extended the custody to JUne 25 and now the custody will continue till July 4. Meanwhile, Jaganmohan Reddy moved a bail plea recently and the hearing on that petition is on July 3.

It is known that Jaganmohan Reddy is prime accused in illegal assets case. The CBI, which is probing the case, argued that Jaganmohan Reddy dolled out favours to certain companies, which invested in his Jagati Publication and Bharati Cements, allegedly using his father's influence, who was the then chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.
