Parakala constituency was a sure shot for the Telangana Rashtra Samithi backed candidate as it was a vital part of Telangana and the sentiment was supposed to ride high. But the YSR Congress Party candidate Konda Surekha, who earlier resigned for the T cause gave a tough fight to the TRS candidate Bhikshapati. But in the end TRS wons with a waffer thin margin only proving the T sentiment did not refrain the voters from favoring Jagan sentiments. This in a way is a win for the YSRCP on the long run feel political observers.
True Konda Surekha pictched in the Jagan sentiment and gained approval from the public too. As teh TRS won just by 800 votes on accounts. Some critics went overboard and also claimed that ethically the YSRCP won th elections in principle. However the end results do play the deciding factor. TRS won the elections with the support of the T JAC at Parakala. But it is also true that the margin bewteen the T sentiment and Jagan sentiment narrowed much and either of them need to work hard to keep the bargain in their favor.
