Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) sleuths inspecting the premises of the retired Judge Chalapathi Rao have found valid documents. The judge was alleged to have mediated with the suspended CBI first additional special judge T Pattabhirama Rao for Gali bail, in the mining case. CBI today raided his premises in Guntur and Chilakaluripet say sources. CBI agency investigated the registrar office over the details of the properties owned by Mr Chalapathi Rao. They also verified his saving bank accounts.
CBI also questioned the associates of the retired judiciary member. His brother, document writer Srinivasa Rao and advocate Tarakaram were also questioned about the case.
It may be noted the CBI was proceeding to launch criminal proceedings on suspended special judge T Pattabhirama Rao who was charged with taking bribe as a quid pro quo for granting bail to Gali in the Obulapuram Mining scandal. (With Inputs from Internet- Aarkay)
