Rain in Hyderabad has brought respite to the residents who have been suffering for the past two days due to high mercury levels. It may be noted that Hyderabad crossed 40 degrees Celsius temperature on Monday and people feared the temperature might shot further. To everyone’s surprise, rain turned the climate cool.
As rain lashed the roads of twin cities, several people were witnessed walking on roads just to enjoy the rain on a sunny day in May. In fact, many people were even found eating ice creams while a few bee-lined at chat bhandars to eat country snacks.
The dip in mercury not only boosted the joys of the public but even the businesses of the road side vendors. When asked a mirchi shop vendor, he said the business was just awesome and thanked the God for showering rain drops on Hyderabad roads. People coming out of offices and homes especially when it rains in summer to eat road side country snacks is a common affair in Nawabi City. All in all, the sudden rain that came as a surprise has lifted the spirits of Hyderbadis. (Phani)
